Fresh Baked Friday - Black and White

Woohoo! It’s Friday again… My favourite day of the week! In our household Fridays are movie and takeaway night {I’m thinking a glass of red and a lamb kashmiri}. For today’s Fresh Baked Friday I’ve decided to take a departure from my normal colour explosion, and keep it sleek and chic in classic black and white.

Books for newborns

Our first serving today, and the main inspiration behind this post is a new concept by Australian label books for newborns. They are specifically designed in black and white with sharp outlines to make it easier for babies to see the images in the first few months of life when it is difficult for them to focus and differentiate colour. The first book in the series is called “Mesmerised“. It’s illustrated by Tasmanian graphic designer Katey Love and is available online for a very reasonable $11.95.

Black and White Handmade Dresses

Next up today is an outfit from Boston based handmade label The Measure. It’s been sitting in my favourites list for a while now waiting for the perfect time to make an appearance. This vintage inspired romper {left} features black and white chevron stripes and a butt full of ruffles. It might be a bit cold for Aussie readers at the moment, but pop a long sleeve tee underneath and it’s ready for spring! The Chevron print is also available as a smock dress {right}.

Black and White Handmade Toys

Finishing up today is this cute collection of toys from Sydney based label peepbebe. Each one is handmade from 100% cotton with bamboo/cotton filling. They’re machine washable and love to be chewed on!

That’s all for today folks, see you tomorrow for a big bunch of Saturday fun!

Share the love!
