Happy Monday Folks! It’s been a while since we’ve had a special delivery post so I thought I’d start this week off with a little giveaway especially for those of you who haven’t seen the postman around much lately. So if your letter box is feeling lonely, read on folks… this one’s for you!
For those of you who are new to {KID} independent, special delivery is a series of posts dedicated to the humble hand-written note, a friendly postman and a brown paper package tied up with string. They give you the opportunity to meet stores who make and sell delicious stationery and products perfect for posting, and also the opportunity to be the proud recipient of a {KID} independent special delivery package. Today we introduce you to Isabell’s Umbrella, makers of stationery and masters of cuteness!
Isabell’s Umbrella is the creation of Ashley Giessing, an artist who believes she should have been born in the nineteenth century, when all correspondence was done by hand {oh… I hear ya sista!}. Ashley is a mum of two, lover of stationery and collector of books. Her range includes cute artwork, magnets, cards, invitations and bookplates… my favourite is the Molly Walker print {image at top of page}.

Oh! The Molly Walker print is beautiful, and it might even inspire my 9 year old daughter to write and roll more! Although I think the Fairy Tale letter writing set is to die for, and would also do the trick.
The magnets are a very clever idea. The little Matryoshka magnets are beautiful and my favourite of all.

I love snail mail, makes me so happy! I think the Happy Birthday Bird cards are adorable & would be fantastic for all the kids birthday parties we’ve got coming up.

My favourite would have to be the thank you card featuring the delightful deer, chicken and
rabbit. Thank you cards are such a great way of showing friends and family how much you appreciate their generosity, and teach children how important it is to say thank you.
I love the magnets, le “send a smile” note cards, the little red riding hood letter writing set, the cowboy invites, the bean bags, the red apple sunglasses, the pink strwberry oven, the honey bake baker’s ser…… and so many others !!!!!! I wish I could win !

I love all of teh BabySpareWear packs! What a great idea. Anything that I can grab and run with is a winner in my book, as I’m not a big fan of lugging around a huge nappy bag full of stuff, or having to pack it!

Isabell’s Umbrella Magenet collection of hedghogs are georgous..I would love a special delivery in my letterbox so that I can give my grandson a special delivery in his letterbox. Even his postie gets a kick out of ‘Nanna’s’ letters…I always make them look special.

Ahhh the ancient art of handwriting – how I miss thee…. My fav Isabelle’s Umbrella items are the Send A Smile note cards and I can’t choose between the Owl and the Hedgehogs, too cute!

Oh I love the send a smile note cards. I love sending little handwritten notes to my grand mother through post to brighten her day and I can imagine her pleasure receiving this!

I love the Isabell’s Umbrella – Send a Smile Note Cards (Hedgehog) because we live a few hours from my family (not to mention my sister who lives overseas), so it would be nice to write a lovely message then add my 9mth olds hand/foot prints and send it to those family – you can bet they would smile!
