It will come as no surprise to you that I’m a lover of colour, and when it comes to kids, you can never have too much. Earlier this month I had the pleasure of meeting Arani Duggan, one of the passionate minds behind handmade label “Little Thing”; and today it’s my pleasure to introduce to you their Mamacita collection.

Little Thing is the creative project of two Aussie girls, one of whom lives in Mexico. The Mamacita collection is a range of hand crafted, ethically produced Mexican dresses for babies and toddlers. You’ll also find a couple of dresses in the range just for Mum. The concept is simple silhouettes with beautiful embroidery, and delicious colours.

I’m simply smitten with the JardÌn de Flores Range {pictured above} for it’s traditional Mexican styling. It’s the perfect dress for summer days and play dates. All items in the collection are handmade from 100% cotton and are reasonably priced from $30 – $35.

10% of the profits from the Mamacita range will be donated to En Via, a non-profit micro-finance organisation working to fight poverty in Mexico.

Oh, so gorgeous! With my $50 voucher, I would buy the Jarden de Flores in Navy, then I would have to add some cash & also buy the one in white & hot pink as well as the Batita Tejido in rainbow!
I’d get the The Jardín de Flores embroidered tunic dress! Very pretty.
I love the Jardín de Flores Range. With $50 I would definitely buy the natural dress for my little girl, and the change would go towards getting a red one too. It’s lucky I’m seven months pregnant otherwise it might be difficult not to get the white dress in the womens size. It is gorgeous.
I would buy myself the womans Jardín de Flores dress. If only you made clothes for children ages 8-10, then I would buy my daughter the Jardin de Flores in Blue.
The Jardín de Flores Range
in deep red is divine!
The Tulipan Chickens on Pink…or maybe white. Hang on, the Tulipan Flowers on yellow are gorgeous too. Then again, I love the Jardin de Flores in natural, or maybe navy blue. The Jardin de Flores for women are nice too….help!!
Oh wow they’re just sooo pretty!!! I would get the Jardín de Flores Navy Blue and Natural for my little girl, because it’s too hard to decide between the two!!
Well they are all just too lovely – but really I think I am going to have to be selfish and spend the voucher on the gorgeous Jardín de Flores top for Women!! After all, mummy’s need nice things too!!
With $50 I’d buy a Jardin de Flores dress in navy and one of the Tulipan dresses (either Chickens on Pink or Flowers on Yellow). So cute!
Hi, I’d love to buy all the children’s tunics but they don’t come big enough (can you pleeease make sizes 6 and 8?). So I’ll ‘settle’ (ha ha, poor me) for the Jardín de Flores women’s dress. Soooo pretty.
I would buy the Tulipan Range, Butterfly on white and pay extra to get the ducks, chickens & butterlies dress they are both so sweet and feminine.
I would buy the deep red The Jardín de Flores dress AND (with a little help from my wallet) the Tulipan butterly in white for my granddaughter! I can see her wearing them across the seasons (and the years–as a dress, then a tunic). Lovely!
Oooh!
I’d have to get the Jardín de Flores in Natural, and then spend and extra couple of dollars on Tulipán Flowers on Yellow… Gorgeous!
(And maybe a Jardín de Flores dress for me too… It would go so well with my mexicn silver jewellery!)
oh so adorable. I would get the Jardin de Flores in blue, she would still just fit!
