Welcome to day twenty-eight of the Plushie Palooza Toy Festival. Today’s sun-shiny softie is handmade by Leah from Vintage Chenille. If you’re feeling the vintage vibe, don’t forget to tell us in the comments section below. Each comment will count as a vote for Vintage Chenille towards the Golden Plushie award.
Daisy loves to spend time out doors in the sunshine. She is lovingly handmade using a mixture of upcyled and new fabrics. The upcycled/thrifted fabrics from Leah’s personal stash are a combination of vintage chenille, some vintage pillow slip fabric, and a vintage doily.
Leah from Vintage Chenille started her handmade business about 2 years ago whilst she was taking maternity leave from her part time job (to have her 4th baby). For the past 8 years Leah has lived in a very small country area just outside of Mildura in northern Victoria. She draws her inspiration from anything old fashioned, and her ever expanding collection of vintage linen always inspires her to create, as does having a baby girl after 3 boys! In Leah’s store you’ll find all sorts of softies, dolls, quilts and rattles.
