Weekend Fun! Meet Jetta's Nest!

Ready for the weekend? If you’re in Brisbane, why not head over to the BrisStyle Indie Eco Market? Our friend Samantha Gilkes from Jetta’s Nest has been working her magic on some salvaged timber, paper and fabric in preparation and will be joining a bunch of other fabulous sustainable designers for a big day of fun.

Here are a few of my favourite Jetta’s Nest creations. I notice that Samantha commented on her blog that she wasn’t all that keen on the top painting “Robochick”. To the contrary, I think she’s awesome with her steampunk screws and bolts.

The BrisStyle Indie Eco Market will be held on Saturday 6th November from 9am – 2pm at St Augustines Church at Hamilton. For venue details and more info, please visit the BrisStyle website.

  • Oh my goodness, what an awesome surprise! Thanks so much for the feature and the kind comments on my poor unloved Robochick….must get back to packing up all my goodies for tomorrow!!

  • You’re very welcome Sam, I hope the market is a huge success 🙂

  • Bel

Can’t wait to re-stock my collection of Jetta’s Nest cards tomorrow, the perfect thing for sending special freinds 🙂

  • I am already a great fan of Samantha’s work and she thoroughly deserves all the kudos coming her way. And it’s a brilliantly fine Brisbane day for the BrisStyle market – what a bonus!

This is fantastic stuff and fantastic that she lives in Brisbane.

  • Sam’s work cheers up many a nook in my house, her magnets are ace and her brooches are sweet. Like Bel her treats are handed out to friends and loved all around. Thank goodness she lives in Brisbane! I don’t know if I could wait for postage!
