Music Review - These Are My Friends, Alastair Moock

Okay folks, get ready for some creative country rhythms from Boston folk musician Alastair Moock. Twanging guitars, fancy fiddlin’ and boot scootin’ beats are the order of the day… mash that up with giggle-worthy lyrics and Alistairs cowboy-esque vocals and you’ve got yourself a heapin’ helpin’ of good old fashioned family fun!

The album kicks off with the title track “These Are My Friends” introducing as oddball assembly including Pesky Panda, David the rubber ball, imaginary friend Lucy and a bunch of stale French Fries?! Who says you can’t be friends with inanimate objects? They’re certainly dependable!

My favourite track on the album is “Mail Myself To You”, it’s been stuck in my head ever since I heard it. I’m also digging “Born To Dance” and “Yes Indeed” but the kids in this house were most fond of “RePete” for its catchy beats.
