Songs for the World's Bravest Kids!

Today I am honoured to share this simply beautiful collection of songs from Alastair Moock & Friends called Singing Our Way Through: Songs for the World’s Bravest Kids. Last July, one of Alastair’s five-year-old twins, Clio, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and during her treatment, Alastair and Clio sang and wrote these songs together.

Alastair’s goal in writing the songs for this album was to provide a resource for patients and paediatric oncology units. He explains, “A friend of mine who survived breast cancer said to me early on, this is a club no one wants to join, but it has the best members, and she was right. I think people dealing with serious illness come to appreciate life in a new way. That’s the album I wanted to make: not a cancer album, a life album.”

Alastair has teamed up with other well-known children’s musicians such as The Okee Dokee Brothers and Elizabeth Mitchell on tracks that inspire bravery, resilience, and give space for both smiles and the odd tear or two. Here’s a little look at the official video for the song “When I Get Bald”… which I adore!
