Fresh Baked Friday - Wally & Lippa!

There are few things I enjoy more than meeting kindred spirits who create handmade, recycled and OOAK goodies for kids. It’s the primary driving force behind KID independent and always warms my heart. This week I met Alison from Wally & Lippa, who launched her online store just four short weeks ago. Here’s her story…

Alison enjoys working with discarded materials to recreate something new and unique. The majority of her handmade products utilize recycled fabrics, buttons, lace and even thread collected over the years and passed down by older generations of women who were passionate about textiles and all that offers.

Alison explains, “I like the idea of finding new meaning and life in things unused around us. I like the idea of recycling and giving back, and I really like the idea of beautiful things being affordable. Someone told me recently the handmade goods on my site are just lovely because they are so honest. I love that!”

As well as her handmade range, Alison also sells highly graded, affordable pre-loved designer kids wear and donates 5% of all sale prices to a chosen charity, currently The Smith Family 2013 Winter Appeal.
