Review + Giveaway from Arkadia

Who’s a child of the 80s? I am, and my very good friends Ammber and Justin from Arkadia are too; which is why they have called their brand new collection, Down Memory Lane. Arkadia caters for kids aged 6mths to 8 years and their summer range features iconic images that awaken memories of retro toys, corner store treats, fun parks and storybooks. Arkadia Kids T-shirts, Retro, Nostalgia, 80s

I had the pleasure of taking a couple of Arkadia garments for a test ride this week, including two of my favourites designs, Mr Freckle Face and Robo-Rewind. I was immediately drawn to the Mr Freckle Face tee as it gave me a vivid flashback to an experience in my childhood which a white paper packet containing a handful of freckles went flying off the monkey bars and landed in the dirt, amidst a chorus of screams, during the great “freckle versus red frog” argument of 1984 (which clearly ended in the tragic loss of several good freckle faced soldiers). Ahh, the 80s. I miss them good ol’ days.

Arkadia designs are printed on high quality cotton tees and onesies and are released in limited edition batches. A selection of garments are also available as organics, and you can custom order long sleeve tees in a few designs (keep your eye out for the “My First Treedley” design in old school baseball raglan).

The verdict… old school style for a new generation.
