The Product Review

In review today is the Pip Cones Romper, available in pink and blue (sizes 000 – 0). This sweet garment is made from super soft 100% organic cotton and has adorable footsies (am I the only one out there who finds baby feet irresistible!?) and built in mittens to keep little hands toasty warm.

I’m a bit of a sucker for a geometric print, so I’d have to list that as one of my favourite elements. I also like how the press studs are secure enough to stay buttoned, but pop open easily for changing. The wrap design is cute, and also opens across the body for top to toe access.

The verdict… A stylish eco-essential for your winter wardrobe!

The Indie Label

Pip was born with the desire to create a product that is not just environmentally friendly, but is both practical and chic. Prerona explains, “My background in photography, graphic design, advertising, and being a mum, gave me the inspiration to venture out and make my entrepreneurial debut.”

The name “Pip” was chosen during a brainstorming session for names related to babies: small and tiny. Prerona says, “Pip means seed of a fruit like apple or orange. So we thought that would be perfect for the label as we called our 1yr old daughter pip too!”

The Creative Mind

Prenona prefers to work with 100% organic cotton fabrics, and environmental sustainability is close to her heart. She says, “This ensures that our products are manufactured using 100% natural fibres without harmful chemicals, and also promotes fair working conditions and wages for the people making them. So no nasties!”

The debut collection from Pip was inspired by geometric patterns. Prerona is currently working on her new range, which is a collaboration with an illustrator and features animals and birds (keep your eye out for this one folks).

The Whimsical Spirit

Here’s four fun facts about Prerona (in her own words):

  1. Foodie.

  2. Love kids.

  3. Love creativity, design and style.

  4. Environmentally and ethically conscious.
