Wovii Microfibre Children's Towels

The Product Review

When the wovii taster bundle landed in my mailbox, the first thing I thought was “what a lovely colour”. However, it was once I picked it up and felt its supreme softness and featherweight lightness, that I truly started to appreciate the wovii appeal.

We tested our wovii at home, and at the pool, and then chucked it straight in the wash as per the instructions. I must admit, I’m often tempted to tumble dry our towels, especially in winter, but I decided to air dry our wovii and was impressed with the results: enduring plushness.

The wovii collection is made from microfibre, making it heaps lighter than your average towel (365gms – the same size as a banana) and able to absorb four times its own weight in water. This makes it easy for kids to quickly dry themselves, handling the towel with ease. On top of that, the wovii dries in mere minutes, making it great for winter (no more wet musty towels).

I’m predicting that this towel is going to be a real sanity saver at bath time!

The verdict… innovative, efficient, and eco-friendly.

The Indie Label

Busy mum and wovii creator, Jen Daniels, credits sheer frustration as the driving force behind her brand. She explains, “When my daughter turned 2 she went through the ‘Lucy do it’ stage. When it came to bath time, every day without fail she would put up a fight to dry herself.  The kids towels on the market just weren’t absorbent enough or were huge – way too big for her to handle.  I hit frustration point just before we went on holiday to the beach. We were sitting on the beach watching the kids play, nowhere near the huge towels I had dragged down for them, and I thought there has to be a better option”.

Jen set out to create a towel that actually works for kids. Jen says, “It seemed like the world had worried so much about adapting other tools for kids, like sipper cups, but the poor towels got lost somewhere along the way… which is where wovii comes in”.

The Creative Mind

Jen is a mum of three: Lucy 3, Charlie 1 and Jeffrey 3 months. She draws her inspiration from her kids, and her love of colour, and says, “When I was choosing the current range of colours for wovii I consciously steered away from white, baby pink and baby blue.  I want woviis to feel fun, happy and bold. We added some less predictable colours like the green for boys and watermelon for girls”.

The Handmade Collection

Wovii microfibre towels are available in three sizes (body, hands, and face) and six colours (green, watermelon, aqua, purple, blue, and pink). Find them online at wovii, or visit Jen on Facebook to keep up with all the news.
