Fresh Baked Friday... Simply Type Name Signs!

Today I’m writing about three of my all time favourite things. 1. Meeting a talented local designer; 2. Beautiful home decor; and 3. Encouraging children to create. Brianna from Simply Type is a mum of 2 gorgeous girls, who makes recycled timber signs for little people (and grown ups too). I recently commissioned a custom “Art Space” sign for my little poppets. Here’s my review…

Simply Type Custom Wooden Name Signs

The Simply Type “Little People” signs are crafted from new and recycled timber; individually painted, stained, and distressed, and then finished off with a protective matte varnish. You can choose any word or name for your sign, and Brianna is also happy to work with your favourite colours.

So what did I think of my custom sign? I ADORE it (yep, that’s right, in ALL CAPS). Not only is this sign well made and super stylish, I love the fact that it was handmade with love by Brianna, and now stands proudly above artwork created by my family. Artwork that makes me happy everyday and reminds me of the precious moments that I spend with my little ones. I think this sums up the essence of the Simply Type brand. It’s more than just paint on wood… every custom sign holds within it the personality, imagination, and memories of both the recipient and the creator.

The verdict... A triumph of typography!

At Simply Type you’ll find bespoke timber signs for all of life’s special occasions. Designer Brianna is a WAHM who launched her label to earn some extra money for her family (and her shopping habit), but she says, “It has turned into so much more…”

Brianna enjoys working with her customers to create the perfect piece to match their decor. Her timber bubba range includes a baby birth details sign, little people name signs, batman & watermelon name signs, and also a range of sweet quotes to add that extra detail to a bedroom. Brianna also makes home decor, shelfie signs, and wedding signs.
