Sweet Spaces... Indie's Room!

If you adore interior design, children’s decor, and incredibly pretty things… prepare to swoon! This delightful bedroom belongs to 4 year old Indie and was styled by her mum Melissa Barratt. Melissa is a mum to 4 girls (Stella 14, Maddison 9, Lucca 8, and Indie 4) and loves to decorate and create spaces her girls can get lost in, play, and let their imagination and personalities grow…

About Indie’s room (in Melissa’s own words)…

In Indie’s room there are so many things I just love!!!

Her beautiful canopy tent is by Numero 74 and her Swan Head is by Odette (you can find both of these items online at Leo and Bella).

The knot cushions were bought from one of our favourite work-at-home-mums, MY LITTLE ECHO.

The chest of drawers were purchase from Gumtree a few years ago and painted in white, and the blocks and string beads were a personal DIY project.

The lovely Mrs Mighetto print was purchased fromĀ Wonderwall, which I absolutely love! Indie loves this piece too, and she always says how pretty it is.

The bunnies are also a favourite and are by Maileg. We have a few more on their way as Indie just loves playing with them.

The rug was purchased from spotlight and is the Daisy jute rug.

And my most favourite thing is Indie’s bed, which hubby and I built ourselves!

I love how there is op shop, Gumtree, and well known brands all in the one room so you can see you don’t always need to spend a fortune to make beautiful spaces.

Some of my favourite places to shop are op shops, Instagram and Facebook, IKEA, Kmart and local shops around our area.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful space Melissa, it’s a true inspiration!
