Every Autumn, as a Queenslander, I spend a great deal of time complaining about the heat… When is going to cool down? When will we get a chance to use all of our gorgeous winter goodies!? Well this week, we have some chill! Woohoo! So, with that exciting news in mind, please allow me to share some beautiful organic quilts from our friends at Moon Jelly.
I was initially drawn to Moon Jelly by their awesome imagery; specifically, their use of hummingbirds, flying fish, cockatoos, and mountain goats! I also love their eco-friendly ethos and the fact that they make all of their products in Australia, with an emphasis on high quality goods, that are both stylish and practical.
For today’s review, we’ve selected the Moon Jelly Hummingbird Cot Quilt. This quilt is made from 100% organic cotton knit, with low-allergy polyester wadding fill. It’s 105cm x 140cm in size, which allows a little overhang on the edges for secure tucking, and doubles as a play mat and/or cuddly throw for your child’s bed when they transition from their cot.
There’s much to love about this quilt. Firstly, the hand painted hummingbirds are tons of fun. My son (master-two) is going through a bird phase at the moment, and delights in pointing out both the birds and the stars in this pattern. He also loves the silky satin trim on the edge of this quilt, and has taken to carrying it around the house, stopping from time to time to roll around on it while saying “ahhhhhhh” – yep, it’s as adorable as it sounds!
The Moon Jelly cot quilt is available in four different patterns, and is currently on sale for $112 (down from $159).
The verdict… Wildly warm and wickedly stylish.
Alongside their cot quilts, Moon Jelly offer a range of cot sheets, wraps, and organic clothing.
Oh, and did I mention that they are currently having on sale? Hooray! Let’s go shopping!
