I’ve long been an international shopper, adding several delightful products from artisans around the globe to the KID independent wardrobe and toy box. Today I’d like to share some beautiful toys from Wild Dill, an independent online retailer of organic, eco-friendly and fair trade baby products. These guys are based in the USA, but happily ship worldwide. Scroll down to check out our review and snap up your 20% discount code.
The first toy that I chose from Wild Dill is Phoebe the Fawn by Hazel Village. I’ve been coveting one of these Hazel Village toys for ages and I’m so pleased to welcome one into our family. Phoebe is designed in Brooklyn, NY and handmade in India from soft organic cotton.
All of her markings are hand embroidered and her little dress and headband provide the perfect finishing touch. This little lass would make the perfect heirloom gift for a birth or christening. Phoebe is exceptionally well made and is as precious as precious can be!
The second toy landing in our toy box is the Pastel Toys Tommy Truck. Before writing this review (which I managed to squeeze in during nap-time) I spent a magical morning sitting on the play mat with my almost-two-year-old son creating all kinds of fun games with this wooden truck.
There’s just so much to love about this toy! It was handmade in Israel by special needs adults in a kibbutz-like, self-sustaining community. It’s super sturdy, built to last, and is painted with lead-free water based paints. The wheels are securely attached and are fully moveable and the blocks are good old fashioned chunky wood, which allows them to be stacked in all kinds of combinations. Oh, and it’s just so much fun! This truck is a truly classic toy that looks amazing resting on the shelf of your baby’s nursery, and will quickly become a favourite in your toddler’s toy box.
Wild Dill has established itself as a premier source for natural baby products and gifts. It’s the one-stop shop for anyone looking for curated natural baby toys, organic baby clothing, or any other natural alternatives to mainstream children’s products.
Tina, the creative mind behind Wild Dill, says “I often get asked how I choose the products in the shop. As mom of a 4 year old and 8 month old I first consider if it is a product I would want my own children to wear or use. After it passes the “mom” test I look to see if it is a design or style that fits the natural but colorful aesthetic that I know my customers are looking for. Of course, the final test is all products must fit into one or more criteria of organic, eco-friendly or fair trade”.
Wild Dill provides exceptional customer service and my personal shopping experience was a delight. If you’re based in the USA, you can snap up free shipping for orders over $65 including free returns and exchanges. Wild Dill also offers flat rate worldwide shipping, which I found to be quite reasonable given the weight of my order.
