Possum & Banjo is a handmade label based in sunny Brisbane, Queensland. The brains behind the operation, Leanne Schmid, designs and sews all of her own garments in small quantities and limited edition 100% cotton fabrics. There’s a range of styles to suit just about every little guy’s style including hot rods, street cars, vintage fishing boats, motorbikes, retro cruisers, vintage holdens, muscle cars and kombi vans!

Do you have miniature man in your life who is the apple of your eye, the bee knees, the cats pyjamas? Yes? Then this post is especially for you! I’m always chuffed to learn about new Australian collections, and when they’re as cosy and classic as Hunter Baby, they slide right on in to the top of my must-have list… Not to mention how much I love bold stripes!

I must say, it’s truly refreshing to see a label placing comfort and practicality on an equal footing with style. The Hunter Baby collection includes a range of onesies, bodysuits, tops, leggings, bandana bibs and wraps, as well as a newborn boys nightie for easy nappy changes in the first few weeks. All of them are made from soft 100% cotton, with no uncomfortable fabrics or embellishments. Perfect for rolling around, crawling and creating general mayhem.

Hunter Baby is available for purchase online or through selected stockists.  The collection is made locally in Melbourne in small production runs, from locally made and dyed fabrics.

After provoking your purses yesterday with some fabulous summer dresses, today I decided to shift my attention to some stylin’ threads for the little guys. Here’s a little sneak peek at the Autumn Winter collection from Australian label Electric Boy.

First up, may I just say that these little models are ridiculously cute in their thick rimmed black glasses. It’s geek chic all the way my friends! Secondly, I love the use of bright, eye-popping colours for Autumn. And thirdly, please excuse me while I point enthusiastically at the darth-vader-popping-wheelies-on-a-retro-cruiser-with-banana-handlebars print and squeal with delight. Just. Plain. Awesome.
