Do you have miniature man in your life who is the apple of your eye, the bee knees, the cats pyjamas? Yes? Then this post is especially for you! I’m always chuffed to learn about new Australian collections, and when they’re as cosy and classic as Hunter Baby, they slide right on in to the top of my must-have list… Not to mention how much I love bold stripes!

I must say, it’s truly refreshing to see a label placing comfort and practicality on an equal footing with style. The Hunter Baby collection includes a range of onesies, bodysuits, tops, leggings, bandana bibs and wraps, as well as a newborn boys nightie for easy nappy changes in the first few weeks. All of them are made from soft 100% cotton, with no uncomfortable fabrics or embellishments. Perfect for rolling around, crawling and creating general mayhem.

Hunter Baby is available for purchase online or through selected stockists. The collection is made locally in Melbourne in small production runs, from locally made and dyed fabrics.
After provoking your purses yesterday with some fabulous summer dresses, today I decided to shift my attention to some stylin’ threads for the little guys. Here’s a little sneak peek at the Autumn Winter collection from Australian label Electric Boy.

First up, may I just say that these little models are ridiculously cute in their thick rimmed black glasses. It’s geek chic all the way my friends! Secondly, I love the use of bright, eye-popping colours for Autumn. And thirdly, please excuse me while I point enthusiastically at the darth-vader-popping-wheelies-on-a-retro-cruiser-with-banana-handlebars print and squeal with delight. Just. Plain. Awesome.

The Electric Boy winter collection will be landing in stores in March. You can find your local stockist and find out more about Electric Boy at their website.
Oh boy, we’re excited about this one! The folks at Mister Mista are back for another season with a whole new range of rad illustrations. You’ll find eight new stylin’ designs on offer, including a range of long sleeve tees and fleece hoodies for the cooler months. Here’s a sneaky peek.

I’m crazy about the Hip Hop Robot Tee, got a big giggle out of the Frankly My Deer design and think that Mista Meanor is the coolest little mischief maker I’ve laid eyes on. However, I think my pick of the bunch this year is the smiley little dude that sits at 145 on the height chart… coolest height chart ever!

You’ll find Mister Mista Series 04 online at their webstore, and also at a range of fine stockists across the country.
I met the fab folks at Furious Kingston earlier this year with the launch of their winter kids collection and I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for their new summer styles. Today I have the pleasure of not only enticing you with some sweet styles for your little ruffians, but also the chance to snag some Furious Kingston swag!

This mighty fine collection from Furious Kingston packs a serious punch in the little guy style department. The prints are giggle-worthy, the styles are brimming with boyish charm and let’s be frank… who doesn’t love a moustache? One of my favourites is the “Furious Kingston vs The World” tee. I dig the bold blue stripes and the little dude sporting his flat cap…

Speaking of flat caps, I just about jumped for joy when I laid eyes upon the Furious Kingston Ba-Pa Hats. Each one is handcrafted from vintage fabrics, and is a one-of-a-kind. Just. Plain. Awesome.

Congrats to Deb Flower-Jones + Tracey Leech, our Furious Kingston winners!

I’d like to introduce today’s post with a few words from the designer… “Furious Kingston is handsome clothing and accessories in dapper fabrics, with a vintage hoodlum influence. Inspired by everything from thirties gangsters and molls to psychobilly, acid country and bare knuckle boxing”… if that’s not cause for excitement, I don’t know what is!?

Furious Kingston comes to you from the talented mind and crafty hands of Melbourne based designer Cherry Rockette. Cherry has a background in illustration, pattern-making and fashion design and has even been seen sewing a few jock straps to pay her way through college {now that’s dedication}. After the birth of her little man, Cherry launched her label Furious Kingston and has been styling little guys ever since.

The Furious Kingston range features boys’ clothing and accessories in sizes 1T-3T (with 4-6 coming in 2011). Each item is carefully hand-made in Melbourne from start to finish. All of the designs are made in limited quantities and feature vintage bits and bobs to keep the designs exclusive and unique. I’m digging the rockabilly flavour; not to mention the coolness of the cheery rotund viking robot… and the curly moustaches, well what I can say? They amuse me no end!

Furious Kingston is available online through Cherry’s Etsy Store. She is also hard at work on her spring collection, so keep your eyes peeled for new designs coming shortly.
