Monica from Thanks Mum is a pro at sourcing handy, innovative products that might just make your life a little bit easier. Today we’re writing about a new product to her store, the Green Sprouts Water Bottle Cap. This adapter fits onto a store bought water bottle; converting it into a baby bottle or toddler sipper. It’s handy to keep in your handbag for those times where you need some water in a pinch.
The Green Sprouts Water Bottle Cap fits most disposable water bottles and comes in two sizes; infant (3 – 24 months) and toddler (6 – 24 months). I tested it with a one year old, who was a bit dubious at first but then seemed to enjoy the novelty of his new drink bottle. It’s super easy to use, and at price of $7 for one spout, or $10 for a infant/toddler set, this is a handy product to add to your travel toolkit.

Last week we had the pleasure of sharing a product from Thanks Mum called the OnTray. Today we’re road testing another handy invention – the Toddler Bites Sandwich Cutter. This simple, fun product cuts your sandwiches into 9 bite sized sandwich pieces and is designed for toddlers (18 months +) who are learning to self feed.
So here’s what I like about the Toddler Bites Sandwich Cutter. While you could certainly do the same job with your trusty old knife, during our testing phase this week we gave the job of “chief cutter” to Miss-Six-and-a-Half who loves to help out in kitchen and also loves to “coordinate” her little sister, Miss-Two. The plastic handles on the cutter made it safe for Miss-Six to use, and little sis thought her mini-sandwiches were a delight. Dad had the important job of eating all the leftover crusts, with bulldog buster chomping on a few as well.
Priced at a reasonable $10, we thought that this was a quirky product, which added a bit of playfulness to lunch preparation.
The verdict… convenient and fun!

Let me start off today’s review by saying, I love a handy invention! If it makes my life a little bit easier, and is innovative, practical, affordable, and well made… you can sign me up! So with that in mind, our invention of the day is the OnTray. This cool creation was designed by a mum with the goal of making grocery shopping more pleasurable (for both parents and kids)…
The OnTray is made from BPA Free plastic and comes in four bright colours. It features a sliding lid that can be kept closed to store snacks while it’s in your handbag, and easily slides open once you attach it to a shopping trolley (with a simple clip on action). Once you’ve taken off the lid, you can slide it back on the bottom of the tray to give added stability to the product while you’re on the go and also to ensure the lid doesn’t go missing mid-outing.
I took the OnTray on its maiden journey over the weekend and found it easy to use, and a little bit fun as well. It’s BPA free (which is an absolute must) and you can pop it in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. At a very affordable $12, the OnTray makes a worthwhile addition to your outings arsenal.
The verdict… practical, affordable, and sanity saving!
