Earlier this week, a little yellow fellow with big shiny black eyes and a tummy full of spots gave me smile. He lives in Lithuania with designer Gabriele, but he’s willing to travel. Anywhere in the world! He joins us today with a bunch of his yellow and black friends. Some are bumble bees, some are penguins, and some are just adding a splash of colour to their ebony threads.

This week I had the pleasure of meeting Caroline Marvelli from Hootkid. She has just launched her online boutique and the debut collection is bright, bubbly and bursting with smiles. Here’s my top picks straight off her virtual shelves. Every garment is a limited edition with just one of each size available per style. There’s something for both boys and girls including clothing, hats, hair clips and jewellery.

One of the coolest brands on the shelves at Hootkid at the moment is Escapulario Jewellery from Brazil. As you can see from the image above {on the top left}, the designs are quite charming. Escapulario donate toward helping orphanages & other charitable projects in Brazil and put sustainability & social responsibility as a top priority in their company philosophy. Right on!
