I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Angela Tracey from Poppy Wynter Designs recently, and today I’d like to introduce you to a few of her charming creations. Angela is a Graphic Designer with a passion for DIY, typography, colours, patterns, and all that glitters. She is mum to the adorable little Olive, who also serves as inspiration for her children’s range.
At Poppy Wynter Designs you’ll find birthday and baby shower invitations, birth announcements, and wall prints. There’s also a wedding and event range, and a batch of simply gorgeous headwraps and bandana bibs. We’re loving Angela’s modern colour palette and on trend designs. I especially adore the monochrome bears!

Eeeeek! The cuteness of these tape holders and dispensers is almost unbearable! You’ll find them online at minkislove on Etsy, available in truck tape holder; or alpaca, whale, squirrel, or bunny tape dispenser. There’s also alpaca and sheep flash drives, pencil house villages, and cat desk trays. Gorgeous with a capital G! Yep… I really need some of these!
I’ve recently been hunting for nautical themed goodies for a gift basket that I’m making for a friends nautical themed baby shower. I spied these monthly baby stickers at ICustomLabel and decided to give them a try. They feature a fun orange and blue colour theme and are both water and tear proof.
Monthly baby stickers have been popping up in all of the crafty design stores lately, and I must admit, I think they’re quite a cute idea. It makes for a lovely keepsake of your baby’s first year and these stickers are easy to peel and stick onto your little one’s outfit (although it can be quite tricky to get them sit still long enough for a nice snap once they start to crawl… unless you stick one on their bubble butt). Alongside the nautical design, I’m also fond of the chalkboard flowers, forest animals, and rockets. You can view them all here.
A set of baby month stickers will set you back $10, with $10.95 for worldwide shipping (cheaper if you live in the US).

*Note: KID independent was provided with a complimentary set of labels by icustomlabel to try out. We were not paid for this review and the review represents our personal opinion. Upon receiving our labels, we noticed a misprint. This matter was quickly resolved by icustomlabel and we received a replacement set quickly.
One of things I enjoy most about writing for KID independent is coming across innovative parenting solutions created by local mums. The I’ve Got an Ow Children’s Health Journal was designed by Monique Smart, a Melbourne mum who appreciates both the hectic lifestyle of busy parents, and the desire to provide a nurturing environment that supports positive health and well being.
First of all, let me start by saying that I affectionately refer to my memory as ‘the sieve’ – I’m sure you can guess why! That said, I appreciate a good list, a few check boxes, regular prompts, and a pretty place to store the aforementioned items.
The I’ve Got an Ow Children’s Health Journal is specifically designed to help you coordinate your child’s symptoms, conditions, illnesses, and treatments in chronological order, be it an allergy, a bump on the head, or a fever. It’s perfect for popping in your purse before a trip to the doctor, and can be used to store information for medical providers or record development milestones. I like the fact that it eliminates reliance on memory at times that are likely to be high stress, as it’s never fun having a sick little poppet to worry about.
You can purchase the I’ve Got an Ow Children’s Health Journal online for $26.95, with discounts available for multiple purchases and worldwide shipping available.
The verdict… perfect for parental peace of mind!
