I’ve always been a fan of blue, in all of it’s incarnations. However, one of my favourite bluey hues is turquoise! It’s unisex, it’s modern, and it plays nicely with so many other shades. In the 1920s, they introduced their mascot Bertie Bassett; a stylish little guy made entirely of Liquorice Allsorts. This week I had the pleasure of meeting Caroline Marvelli from Hootkid. She has just launched her online boutique and the debut collection is bright, bubbly and bursting with smiles. Here’s my top picks straight off her virtual shelves. Every garment is a limited edition with just one of each size available per style. There’s something for both boys and girls including clothing, hats, hair clips and jewellery.

One of the coolest brands on the shelves at Hootkid at the moment is Escapulario Jewellery from Brazil. As you can see from the image above {on the top left}, the designs are quite charming. Escapulario donate toward helping orphanages & other charitable projects in Brazil and put sustainability & social responsibility as a top priority in their company philosophy. Right on!
