I found these super sweet handmade kid’s moccasins at Freshly Picked this week. Their motto is “so hip it hurts”… and I tend to agree! Each pair is handmade to order, with hand stitched detailing in contrasting neon threads. Over the weekend, my fancy was tickled by these itty bitty loafers. In fact they kind of remind me of pint-sized bowling shoes! Match them with some rolled up jeans, a flat cap and a button up shirt for a kitschy winter-spring transition outfit. They’re handmade from felt & fabric, each pair is a one-of-a-kind, and they sell for less than $20 a pair, sweet!

Happy Monday! I hope you’re starting off the week with a sparkle in your eye and a spring in your step! To give you a little nudge in the right direction I thought I’d share some adorable little handmade shoes all the way from Hana31 in Deer Park, Texas! Each pair is made from 100% cotton yarn and the styles are so delicious you could serve them with whipped cream and strawberries on the side!

I recently enjoyed reading a wonderful feature and creative project by Jessica Haley on Joyfolie and thought you might find it inspiring too. Jessica was inspired by The Reusers Guide to Green Living to create some shoes from materials that would otherwise be discarded. The result was this collection of upcycled cuties.

The first pair in the collection {pictured above} are made from a bunch of brown plastic grocery bags from a local general store. The second pair {picture below} is made from a Starbucks Coffee Bag, and the final pair, sporting a bright red logo that is no doubt familiar to you, is made from a Target plastic shopping bag. Aren’t they amazing?!
